Problem starting inadyn at boot
Hi. I am running Kubuntu 7.04 and I have a problem when I try to start inadyn (to update dyndns) at boot.
I think the way to do it is to make a startup script. Since I am new to Linux, I don't know how to do this by hand, so I use webmin. I go to the boot section at webmin and choose to start inadyn at boot. Apparently this sets up the startup script for me (I can actually see it there). But then when I reboot the system it does not boot completely. It just stops at a certain point and does not start kdm. If I disable the option of starting inadyn at boot from webmin, then the system boots perfectly. How can I start inadyn at boot without this problem? Thanks |

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=541367 ... of course, you can probably get away with putting the command is /etc/rc.local (sudo gedit /etc/rc.local and add the command second-to-last.) |
