Problem sending files trough minicom, cutecom
Hello to all!

I am using a USB to serial adapter and I am experiencing a problem
when I am trying to send a file from Linux to a development board that I am using trough a terminal program.

With minicom, when I am trying to send a file (Cntrl+S), I am selecting the protocol (I am using xmodem or ymodem) and then when I have selected the file that I want to transfer and press enter, some weird characters are printed out without seeing any progress of the operation.

With cutecom I just can't see any progress and I get a timeout message.

The weird thing is that the USB2serial cable is working OK because I have established communication with the board (I can see the files, type various instructions e.t.c.). Also, by using HyperTerminal under Windows I can send files without a problem.

If have any idea what causes this problem please let me know.

Thank you all!

You mean Control-A S right (not Control-S which is bound to the TTY driver's stop output command)?

Yes, I mean Control-A S
