Unhappy Problem playing chess on Chess.com

I have Firefox 35.0 and Java SE 8 (
Code:
java version "1.8.0_25"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_25-b17)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.25-b02, mixed mode)
).
I have installed the Java Web Plugin and it works. But when I open this page :
http://www.chess.com/play/computer Java shows me a dialog about untrusted content. When I click "Run", Firefox crashes. How can I play chess there?

The problem for us is, you don't have any data on why firefox crashed.

In firefox, there is a java console in developer tools. If you don't have one (or can't find it) then here is a firefox plugin that will give you a nice java console to capture the errors with. Grab 'em and post them back.

That said, a simpler fix might be trying google chrome.

I only get two "Type Error : a is null." in JavaScript section. As much as I can understand, the applet is unable to load some images. Also note that the Error Console shows "JavaScript" Errors, not "Java".

The javascript console notwithstanding, Firefox relies on Oracles Java implementation and they've announced no further plans to develop for any platforms other than Win/Mac ( a while ago). So, the simplest explanation is you're using an out of date java implementation and the problem is just going to get worse over time.
Why don't you try another browser?
