problem playing cds

Hi i havve suse 10 with kde 3.5 Sometimes when i launch kscd for playing cds the programme dont start... I have noticeed using ps -aux that sometimes instead of kscd starting i get a kscd defunct proceess (checked from ps -aux).. From this moment no other cd application will work (for example the gnome cd player or the kaffeine).. usually dont start or halt when they tryto start the playback.. It seems that this is a core problem.. perhaps kscd, gnome cd player or kaffeine use something in common that has problems in my pc... Do u have something in mind ?

Are you talking about the autoplay, (plays once you instert it into the cd drive), or are you manually starting the software, clicking play button and the cd won't play.

Please elaborate.
