Problem Installing Xmms
 

Hi,
I am rather new to linux.
I downloaded xmms-1.2.10 and when I run ./configure, I get the following error message.

Checking for GLIB - version >= 1.2.2... no
*** The glib-config script installed by GLIB could not be found

I have already installed glib. How do I carry out the instructions stated above? Thanks!

what is the $PREFIX of glib installation?

/usr/local or /usr ?

i.e. Slackware installs everything in /usr, not /usr/local like many other distros.

What distro are you running? Most distros have packages for xmms.
