Unhappy Problem installing "libXp.so.6"

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to run the appletviewer in FC6 but when i ran the appletviewer i got the error like this "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_17/jre/lib/i386/libawt.so: libXp.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

So i thought to install libXp.so.6, but if i try to install it using yum
like "yum install libXp.so.6". It is giving error like

Loading "installonlyn" plugin
Setting up Install Process
Setting up repositories
Error: Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: updates

Not understanding what to do. Please help me

In Debian it's in the normal repos and the package is called libxp6. Maybe it's in the FC6 repos too?
cheers,

Hey Guys,

Thank you very much for u r responses. But the problem was not with the installation of "libXp.so". You can see that exception "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError", so i created a soft link of libXp.so with the libawt.so like "ln -s /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_17/jre/lib/i386/libawt.so libXp.so.6". After creating the soft Link i tried to run the appletviewer,it is running properly now. So i think the not creating the soft link was the culprit. Once again thanks for u r response.
