Problem installing libwxgtk2.4

I'm currently trying to install Comical on my Ubuntu 7.10 installation however when trying to compile it form source it fails stating it couldn't create a directory and when i try to install this way:

sudo dpkg -i comical_0.4-1_i386.deb

I get the following error message:

wrkstn:/$ sudo dpkg -i comical_0.4-1_i386.deb
(Reading database ... 118378 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace comical 0.4-1 (using comical_0.4-1_i386.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement comical ...
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of comical:
comical depends on libwxgtk2.4 (>=; however:
Package libwxgtk2.4 is not installed.
comical depends on unrar-nonfree; however:
Package unrar-nonfree is not installed.
dpkg: error processing comical (--install):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Errors were encountered while processing:

I have all the packages / dependicies installed that it required execpt the version of libwxgtk2.4 is libwxgtk2.4-1. When I try to install libwxgtk2.4 via apt-get install libwxgtk2.4 I get the following error message:

-wrkstn:/$ sudo apt-get install libwxgtk2.4
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package libwxgtk2.4 is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package libwxgtk2.4 has no installation candidate

So if someone could let me know how to get that library in or how to install version 0.8 of Comical that would be great.

Dude, you use the apt package manager instead of this. Give the command
apt-get install comical
What does this say?
