Well I recently re-installed my Slack 10.2, then went about doing my various updates and such. Updated to kernel 2.6.15, then used konstruct to download and compile kde 3.5. After I got kde 3.5 up and running, I went about installing apps and everything seemed to be fine. The only issue so far is that I can't seem to install k3b. When installing with the package, the script runs, but entering in k3b, which normally starts the app, results in an error that the script doesn't exist. If I try to compile it from source, I get an error that says "program kde-config cannot be found, have you installed kde properly". I am at a bit of a loss. I attempted google and searching here first, but given how often you see kde and config in posts, that was just about useless and I gave up after a few hours of that. I was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction.

is kde-config installed?

Yes, I just had to do a --prefix=/home/user/kde3.5 to tell it where my kde was. Probably should have thought of that before posting here. But thank you for your response.
