Problem installing Icons

When I try to install icons I get a message Unable to download the icon theme archive;
please check that address Downloads/Square-Beam-KDE_1.0.tar.gz is correct.Or a lot of other things. Is there a cure?

first
How are you trying to download it ?
http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=165154

did you click on "download" ???

that takes you to a PRIVATE google drive page
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_h...ZsRFhVX2M/edit

click the download " down arrow" on the Google drive page

and download this 116 MEG !!!!! "icon file"
116 meg is MEGA HUGE for some icons

then seeing as this is on a private google drive page and you have ZERO way to know if it has been tamped with
or it it is going to do something it is not suppose to do

CHECK IT

now if you have issues downloading from a private g-drive
that wil lbe caused by the browser blocking third party cookies -- NORMAL for firefox

use chrome browser
or allow the cookies to install the tracking cookies and DL using firefox

as to installing it

kick-off / "config-desktop"
under "application appearance "
and under "icons" click install

if it installs easily use it

if it doesn't work: RUN THE OTHER WAY

i'm unsure if your theming browser or desktop. but either has many versions which are incompatible and my even "attack each other" and cause the browser/desktop to stop funktioning in terrible ways (total re-install req'ed for most people)

don't use themes and ad-ons from "just anywhere just anyone". make sure anyone else reports "it works" and does so for THE VERY SAME linux / distro version you are using (and has installed dependancy libs default / same manner. ie, did not remove default libs and use alternates - that they actually run the "same libs" you do.)

also it may be what the message says !!

maybe it just can't pull the file from the URL (incorrect, non-existing, blocked, etc) or even the lib the themer uses to pull URL is not right version

can you pull other URL? if so - just drop this one run other way, use other theme
