Problem installing Blender

Hmmmmmm,
I'm trying to install Blender onto Mandrake 8.2 and i get the following error message when i try to execute it.

./blenderpublisher

open /dev/dsp: Device or resource busy
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ": o.o".
ERROR Unable to open Blender window

I have no clue as to what any of that means. All i know is that its not good. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to have graphical acceletation enabled to run Blender. If you're using nvidia's card, download drivers from www.nvidia.com. If not, make sure you've got the drivers and that you have 'Load "glx" ' in your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file.

I added load "GLX" to the module section of XF86Config-4 but when i execute the program i get the same message. I'm using an S3 Inc. Trio3dTrio 64 3d. I will look for new drivers for it and hopfully that will solve the problem. Thankyou for your quick response.
