problem installation of redhat 9
:newbie:
I have tried to install Redhat 9 on my kids old 486 and I got the message "No coprocessor found, no math emulator, giving up" Does this mean that I can't install Linux on this computer at all? Is there another distribution that may work? Thanks! D |
RH9 requires atleast a Pentium. You can try Slackware9.
Correct me if I am wrong. |
Or if you want to stay with RedHat you could go to an earlier version. But I believe you are correct on the pentium issue.

Thanks! Any idea where I can download Redhat 8. Every site I checked only has 9.
