problem install vnc file


HI all..


i download tightvnc-1.3dev4-1.src.rpm file

im use this command:
rpm --rebuild --target i386 tightvnc-1.3dev4-1.src.rpm


then i got..

<compile process>..
<compile process>..
<compile process>..



error:
RPM build errors:
user const does not exist - using root
group const does not exist - using root
Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.57199 (%build)


what can i do?


im using mandrake linux 9.2
pentium 3

What error does it show from the failure?

the user errors are normal.

thanks , problem solved.

if using this command:
rpm --rebuild tightvnc-1.3dev4-1src.rpm

error:
artchitecture is not include :i586

how to configure transfer file between linux and window?

windows using vncviewer
linux using vncserver

there are several ways, here are a few.

sftp, http server download / upload

If it's a secure network then maybe use samba.

Thanks, i know about sftp and http server download / upload.

but what i means is..
tightVNCviewer at window, the transfer file option is disable

tightVNC viewer version:1.3dev4

i cannot transer file (drag file using mouse) from window desktop to linux use TightVNC viewer

:-) ??

HI, meet again :-);

Hello vnc user.

I have previously used TightVNC1.29,
Now with tightvnc-server-1.3dev4-1,

i find;

A) Windows sever, windows client
=> i can transfer file OK

B) Windows sever, Linux client
=> i can't transfer file

C) Linux sever, windows client
=> i can't transfer file

D) Linux sever, Linux Client
=> i can't transfer file

can some please comment on C ,

first machine:
My configuration: Mandrake Linux 9.2
(install vncserver & vncviewer version 1.3dev4-1)



second machine:
windows XP
(install vncserver & vncviewer version 1.3dev4-1)
