problem in xemacs with international keyboard accents
 

Hi,
I installed an international keyboard in my laptop. Everything works fine except xemacs (and mozilla). In Xemacs if i digit ¨´¨ and ¨e¨ it didn´t give me the accented ¨e¨but give me the follow error

¨U00E8 not defined¨

Does anybody know if there is a specific configuration to use?

Hi,
I think the problem it is connected directly with the utf-8 system redhat is using (I am using RH 9.0 with $LANG = it_IT.UTF-8).
In fact, when I open a xemacs in a remote machine without utf-8 I have no problem to use the laptop accent American keyboard: if I tape "`" and "e" it appear me "è". If I do the same thing in xemacs in my laptop I have the following error message "U00E8 not defined".
Did anybody meet the same problem? Did anybody fix it?
