Exclamation Problem in reading CDROM using X-CD-Roast

Hello all
I am using xcdroast-0.98a15-12 on a fedora core 4 installed recently. When I tried to copy the Installation CD of FC4 as ISO image to the hard disk, the xcdroast identified the cd as "Audio CD" and created a file called track01.wav instead of track01.img. I have been using xcdroast with fc-3, but there i didn't got this problem. Kindly provide some help regarding this

regards
Manilal

I dont really understand what you are trying to do... you want to copy an iso from your cd to the harddrive?
If so, there is no need to use xcdroast or any applications, just try the following :
dd if=/dev/cdrom of=/where/you/want/fedora.iso

My task is to burn Fedora CDs. I have with me an installation CD of Fedora. I am trying to copy the CD. But when I tried to copy the CD in XCDROAST, it identifies the CD as Audio-CD and creates a file as track-01.wav instead of track-01.img. This is my problem.

well I dont really know Xcdroast, the few time I used it, it wasn't that good... you better use k3b or eroaster (this one is really old, but it does the job). Or create an iso the way I told you then burn this iso.
