When I try to enter as root at the Font Installer applet in KDE Control Center I get an error stating: "File does not exist and folder is not writeable." Does anyone know what this dialog refers to and how I can fix this problem?
Try running it from the command line (kcontrol) and look for a more useful error message. If that doesn't help, try using "strace", i.e. strace kcontrol.
While you're at it, file a bug at kde.org --- not the error itself, but that the error message is useless (It should've said which file or directory.)
