I would recommend to install Tcl/Tk-8.0 using yum.
And then install NS2 without any problems.

I have installed NS-2.30 in Fedora Core 5.
After i run ./install, I inserted export command in file bashrc, the export command are
export PATH=/root/ns-allinone-2.30/tcl8.4.13/unix:/root/ns-allinone-2.30/tk8.4.13/unix:/root/ns-allinone-2.30/tk8.4.13/unix:/root/ns-allinone-2.30/bin:$PATH
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/root/ns-allinone-2.30/tcl8.4.13/unix:/root/ns-allinone-2.30/tk8.4.13/unix:/root/ns-allinone-2.30/otcl-1.12:/root/ns-allinone-2.30/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
export TCL_LIBRARY=/root/ns-allinone-2.30/tcl8.4.13/library:$TCL_LIBRARY
After that
I run ./validate, I had some error. The error are
validate overall report: some tests failed:
./test-all-red
to re-run a specific test, cd tcl/test; ./test-all-TEST-NAME
Notice that some tests in webcache will fail on freebsd when -O is turned on.
This is due to some event reordering, which will disappear when -g is turned on
How I can fix this error?
Hocksoo
thank you

Hi
This is a known issue in NS2 fc5 install and is reported on the Nsnam site
see the topic "Validating your build"
Unless you specifically want to work on RED protocol, the package should work fine
