problem having either ppp0 and eth0 connections active

Hi,
I've a mandriva linux distro on a PC;
I've a 56K external modem (ppp0 interface)
and an ethernet device (VT6102 Rhine II 10/100) (eth0 interface).

If I don't connect ethernet device, I can connect to internet, and all works fine;
but If I connect ethernet device with my laptop (a small LAN), I manage in connect to the internet, but my browser doesn't open any page;
It seems do not resolve dns...

Any idea?

Thank you in advance.

Excuse me for the post,
I've solved;

I've deleted the "gateway" line in the file /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

I hope this can help someone.

Bye
