Problem compiling Kernel 2.6.10


Hi:

I have a SimplyMepis 2004.05 build on my Pentium 3 computer, with 2.6.7 & 2.4.7 kernel, I am in teh process of compiling 2.6.10 kernel. I have the following error message when I make make-kpkg

Giving up on impossibility cannot find file /usr/share/kernel-package/rules

What should be in the rules file?

i haven't used mepis but i fllow the standard kernel compilation procedure

Try apt-get install kernel-tree-2.6.10
