Hello,
The problem doesn't come from the presence or not of /lib/libc6.so but from the version of this lib...
When X try to start it needs to load "GLIBC_2.3.4" which is libc6.so... to know if that's the good version, it checks a tag in the lib header... and I suppose it finds an unexpected tag, so it fails

try reinstalling glibc? using:
upgradepkg --reinstall /mnt/cdrom/slackware/*/glib*.tgz
I've no experience of your problem but this method sometimes fixes stuff!
