Privoxy -- understanding regex replacement

Before I connect my notebook to the university wifi I wanted it torified (that's done) and discovered the privoxy default.filter file for regex replacements. Now while playing around with it I noticed a strange behaviour concerning some websites. Some pages get altered by privoxy according to the specified replacements but some won't. An example that works is google, example that doesn't is wikipedia.

For instance a simple replacement like
Code:
s/(M|m)icrosoft/Micro$oft/g
will get altered on the google results page but, strangely, not on windowsupdate.microsoft.com. This is far from important to me, only "fun stuff" as called by the filter file itself, but I'd like to know what causes this behaviour and, possibly, how to extend the regex onto wikipedia and similar sites.

O.K. figured it out, there's some exception for windowsupdate, wikipedia, and .wiki* etc. in the default.action file. Disabling these gets privoxy to work as expected.
