Printing to Windows with Samba and CUPS, error questions
 

I've been looking through the forums for a few hours and I can't find anything that addresses my problems entirely. I have Slackware 9.0 and it's networked to a few WinME machines via Samba. All file sharing works fine. I installed CUPS and added a link to smbspool to /usr/lib/cups/backend so that I could set up the printer in CUPS as a Samba printer. When I tried to print a test page, the Manage Printers section shows the error "SMB tree connect failed: ERRSRV - ERRinvnetname" in my printer section. My /var/log/samba/log.smbd shows the error "printing/print_cups.c:cups_printer_fn(107)
Unable to connect to CUPS server localhost - Connection refused"

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Cups, by default only allows printing from the local machine. Check the cupsd.conf file and at the end is the IPs allowed to access it, usually its Deny from all, then allow from 127.0.0.1.

Anyway, I think that's it, but this is much more of a software question so I'm going to move it over to that forum.
