Just wondered if anyone could give some guidance to print a photo onto the glossy HP paper?
Everytime I go to print using either F-Spot / Gimp / Shotwell / Picasa I get nearly the same issue whereas the photo is very off-centered and only prints a corner onto the paper for example.
Not sure if I have every had this working but would like to as I have converted the wife from longtime windows and this is annoying her.
Any ideas would be awesome.
Oh and I use ubuntu 10.10 and she uses ubuntu 11.04 - we both have the same problem.
Try sticking the photo in a page on Scribus, the DTP program. You can size & place photos that way. It sounds like you're not using a previewer. I thought people did this with gimp-print and never looked back.
It's a little cumbersome, but the technique that gives me the most control is to insert the picture(s) into a LibreOffice/OpenOffice document, then print the document.
