printing multiple images

Hi,

Are there any applications which allow one to print multiple images on one page? I'd like to print four different pictures on a page. I know that it would be possible to construct a composite image using the Gimp, but there must be an easier way. I have found a Windows app which does this, but I can't find a way to do it with GQView, KuickShow, Gwenview or any other apps which I currently have.

Thanks very much!

I never came across this use case until now. I'm in the same boat. I'd really like to know if there is some way to do this easily. I've explored the same options you have and come to the same conclusions... 6 years later. I'm not believing the date of this post. Unreal. I'll do some more searching.

Slackware 13.1 now comes with geeqie and this solve the problem. I learned something new, goodie.

Hopefully when someone else Googles for this, the same way I did, and this thread comes up, the same way it did for me, it'll get someone else moving along quickly.

Also, gthumb and digikam might be worth a look but they do not come with Slackware right now and I have not tried them.

One answer to your quest: Seems like gnome-photo-printer is the way to go. In a terminal, just type sudo apt-get install gnome-photo-printer

Hope this helps

Thanks for the suggestion but "sudo" isn't necessary on Slackware and apt-get isn't installed by design ;-)

It's a joke, laugh! I realize you weren't necessarily posting to me :-)

geegie doesn't do copies, though. Is there one that would tile, say, 6 copies of an image per sheet? Thanks

It's a workaround, but you could import them into a document and print the document using a wordprocessor.

I realize this would not be a suitable solution for a photographic production environment.
