Printing in HP1010 in linux

Need help on setting up the HP1010 printer. I am currently using hpijs as my driver. It prints okay on a 8.5 x 11 but not on a 8.5 x 13. Do i need to configure something? I've seen from other websites that i need to install a certain ppd. How do i install it?

Have you tried adjusting the driver options in the cups dialog?
Which distro is this anyway?

OK - so enter the printer configuration dialog like normal - it's in the main menue under system settings or something like that (it's ages since I've used RH9).

You'll get a dialog with a load of tabs. One of them is called driver options. Click that. At the bottom is a thing called "page size". Select a default page size in there.

In the "Printer Driver" tab there is a button marked "driver notes". You should read that too.

Queue OPtions tab has things to fiddle as well.

BTW: you realise, of course, that RH9 is obsolete?
There is a good chance that the driver you have will not work well.

If you like RH9, I strongly suggest you upgrade to FC4 ... unless, that is, there is some compelling reason to stick with depreciated systems.
