printing from multiple pdf files the first page

Hi all,

I'm having a problem using lpr. I have a couple of hundered pdf files of which I want to print only the first page. xpdf gives an option for page ranges but I don't want to open xpdf hundereds of times. So I figured there must be an easier way to do this. Something with 'lpr' I figured. But so far I have been unable to find anything useful. So what I want is a command like lpr to handle a pdf file and to only print the first page.
Any help?

You can use PDFTK (http://www.accesspdf.com/pdftk/) for creating batch, which extracts pages from your original PDFs to the one new PDF. So you can easily print it.
