Print Landscape the Other Way Round

One frustrating aspect of printing in landscape mode in Linux is that the pages come out "backwards". That is, right end first.

The disadvantage to this is that I have a ton of documents that are half pages (they get made up into booklets) 8.5 inches high and 5.5 inches wide. The documents used to print out in Windows with the printed part (on the left half of the page) first. This worked well.

But under Redhat 7.3 (first without, now with CUPS) they print the other way round and the last bit doesn't print because the margin is too narrow and the printer doesn't want to print so close to the trailing edge of the page. Truth be told, it worked fairly well before I switched to CUPS. But now the problem is quite noticable.

It seems like there must be a setting somewhere to switch landscape printing to come out left-side-first. But after much googling I have learned more than I ever wanted to know about printing under Linux -- but no joy on the "backwards" landscape mode printing.

dvergin ponders quietly to himself whether his question is too obscure? ...too simple? ...uninteresting? ...poorly-concieved? ...unworthy?

Probably too exotic :) ... it certainly never occured
to me which is why I can't help you with your problem :}

Good luck!

Cheers,
Tink
