Print in Fedora 10

All right, so I've been using fedora since FC1 and have never had a problem with it so I decided to wipe the plague known as Vista off my laptop and throw it on there. The only problem so far other than the packagekit issue witch is know fixed is the print manager. When I go to add a printer it says searching.. and it just stays there... how do I fix this?

Where is the printer connected?
Is there a firewall between your laptop and the printer?
If so, is port 631 blocked?
Have you tried configuring it with the http://localhost:631/ cups interface?
