print from a print server to a windows client printer

A user is running a Windows printer, with a USB printer attached. They're also running a 'terminal emulator' application. This application runs on a Redhat server. How would the user print from this terminal emulator program to their local Windows USB printer?

I think they were using Samba before, but not sure how it all works and how to set it up.

Any leads would help!

Thank you in advance!!!!

Right away I see 2 possibilities:
The easiest would be to print straight from the windows terminal emulation application to the windows printer. Either the application has its own printing function or you'll have to work with screenshots. This may not give the desired result though.

I you truly want to print from the application, I think you'll have to do it in a rather... roundabout way.
I guess you'll have to start by sharing the printer on windows. then you can connect to it with cups through samba from your linux server. Cups has a nice webinterface that can help you with this (usually on port 631).
So: share the printer, make sure you have samba and cups installed on linux, browse to http(s)://localhost:631 from the linux box, add a printer from there; the path will be something like \\windowscomputer\printer.
