Preview/thumbnail/screenshot generator of a video file in linux ????
OK, I have some videos I am looking to share and post to a couple of places. I am looking to preview to the potential downloaders the file quality, plus some statistical info. In Windows Media Players Classic, as shown in my example here, you have the length of the video, file size, file name... and in each frame preview you have a time stamp stating at what part of the video the from is from.......
....is there a program in linux that can do this for me? That can generate the same (or maybe more) info automatically? Here is an example pulled form a different ordeal, but it shows what it is I'm looking for. Thanks for any help. http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/966...ess5thumbs.jpg |
There's this one that I know of: QFrameCatcher. I have no idea of how good or bad it is, there is a link to a couple of screenshots further down the page.

Also try GFrameCatcher , it uses GStreamer library that can handle a lot of video formats.
