.ppt file format


What can I use to view files in .ppt format.It's for (of all things) a class I'm taking on linux security!

I was afraid of that,I don't want to compile open office for a few files,I think I will just look at them at work,thanks

I know what you mean. I use Abiword for word processing and Gnumeric for spreadsheets. I couldn't face compiling Open Office just for a few Powerpoints so I downloaded it in rpm form, installed cpio http://www.gnu.org/software/cpio/cpio.html and used rpm2cpio http://www.iagora.com/~espel/rpm2cpio to extract the rpms with
rpm2cpio openoffice-rpm-package.rpm | cpio -idv

There is an openoffice-bin and a openoffice-ximian-bin.I guess I should install one of them for times like this, just not sure when I will use it again.Should I just go with the openoffice-bin?
