PPD-File creating for printing and plotting, or may be there is one ready to use.

Hello, I hope I'm right here in this forums,

at 1st I've got a Asus X75V Laptop with Ubuntu 16.04 on it. Also I use some printer (they work fine ) and a HP 7440A Plotter.

So I searched around the Internet for a good PPD-File to work with my old plotter. He understands only HPGL/1 not HPGL/2, also it is connectet via ttyUSB0, 9600B 8N1 also RTS/CTS ( hardware protocol ). When I like something to plot, I open a Terminal, starts a terminal program, set the parameter open the file and send it directly via ASCII - Code to the plotter. on that way it works, but it is a lot of work for me, to get it started.

I like to print via a word-processor, or gedit ..... I want to go to print and that's all, but it didn't work. Also I tried different CUPS- Driver ( for e.g. RAW-Printer ect. ) but they didn't work, on the display of the plotter, there cames only " Command not found ) and that's all.

So I decided to write via e.g. froomatic a PPD-File, but I can't find any description how that work should be done. So, does anyone have an idea to write the kind of file ?
after a long research I found a few routines in C or forthran, but I didn't know to handle it.

By the way I tested chiplotle, TUX-Plot but they didn't work as well, on chiplotle tey stops with an error msg, and I can't do anything, because I don't nothing about to write a file in Python.

So my big question is, has anyone a idea where I can get d PPD-File for the HP7740A or HP7575 plotter, or any other ideas.

I'd like to say thank you and Sorry for my English, because I'M from German
