Powerpoint Sound in WINE.

I have ms-office 2003 installed and it is, overall, running every well under WINE.
I've checked the winecfg and tested the audio and it makes the proper sound, but sound does not work in Powerpoint.
Anyone know how to make the sound work when playing pps or ppt files?
Thanks.

BtW, I've spent the last 2 1/2 hours searching the 'Net and if the answer is out there I missed it somewhere along the line.
:)

Just curious. What is it that you are getting from Powerpoint under Wine that you would not get from Openoffice Impress.
I use Impress to open and view the Powerpoint presentations sent to me by Microsoft Office users with no problem.
In turn I create powerpoints and save them in the M$ format that allows me to share back.

Sound.
If Impress played the sound files embedded in the slideshows I wouldn't need Powerpoint, plus Impress still doesn't play the video as well, that is, as originally intended, as Powerpoint.
