Talking power off the computer after shut down

Dear all,

At first, I installed redhat 7.2 on my computer. At that time, the computer would automatically power off after I shut down linux. But after I replaced the kernel with a newer version, the computer no longer power off automatically.

Do you know how to make it work again?

Thank you,

You must enable APM in kernel configuration, and also disable SMP.
