postfix+vacation (not working...)
 

hi all,

on my server, postfix is running as MTA. and i want to use "vacation" program to send e-mail to the senders when the e-mail users is away...

in postfix conf file main.cf, i added this line...

forward_path = $home/.forward

and "vacation" program also create three files ( .forward, .vacation.db, .vacation.msg ) correctly.

and the .forward file contains this line...

\toss, "|/usr/bin/vacation -a blah@mydomain.com toss"

and finally i post an e-mail to this e-mail address, postfix receives mail but after tihs nothing happens...

i think vacation program is not working... bu t i dont know why...??

I would like to know you you did it , cause I need an auto reply fuction that works together with postfix
