Postfix or Qmail?

I want to setup a MTA to host email for one local domain and relay/gateway for others to sit in front of our Win32 server. I'm looking at either Qmail or Postfix and need some suggestions in narrowing down which to go with.

It'll be installed on a Debian box, and what I need from the MTA is this:

1) Needs to be able to accept mail and deliver to the local domain, as well as accept mail and hold/relay it on to remote domains.

2) For relaying, I'd like to use SMTP Auth to validate users to avoid round robin bounces. I'd prefer not to use LDAP.

3) SMTP Auth for the local domain users.

4) Be able to block senders at the connection level. I'd like to find/write a script to scan for dictionary attacks and add them to a blacklist on the fly.

Can both Qmail and Postfix do this? Do either of them have any advantages/disadvantages over the other? Can both tie into a cpanel like webmin?

I suggest www.qmailrocks.org for your basic setup, but with one change... use the latest patch from www.jms1.net to patch your install. Current qmailrocks instructions say to use an older patch which isn't as effective. This new patch will allow you to do your #4 requirement. Basically it does valid rcpt to checking. So if you get a message coming in that is destined for a non-existent user, it wont' be allowed through. This basically stops dictionary attacks cold. All that's missing is the script you want to write that blocks their IPs from future attacks.
