Possible to retrieve e-mail from pop and serve it?

I am interested in having my linux box automaticly retrieve e-mail from a pop server and then running a pop server on the linux box where I can retrieve these e-mail from other computers e-mail clients or view them from a web interface by connecting to the linux box's web server. Does anyone know how to do this?

I see that fetchmail can recieve mail from multiple servers but after reading through confussion online documentation I am unsure whether It can act as a pop or other server allowing me to recieve the mail from remote clients or do I need a seperate program to do this?
I also found several programs that allowed mail access though a web interface. Squirrelmail looked like it might be what I want but there are many other ones and are these for servers taking in mail for a bunch of different users or suitable for a single user to view their mail from a web interface.
born4linux, thanks for the word "fetchmail". The "", however, was of no help, I had searched on google for software that might do what I want but after searching I was unsure what I wanted. It would have been hard to perfrom a search for a package before I knew what the package was that I needed to search for.
