Possible to allow VMWare running XP to detect/install Catalyst Drivers

Im just curious if anyone has found a way to get 3D acceleration in a VMWare-running windows machine. The practical applications of my VM are somewhat limited by horrid resolution / color depth /etc.

I don't even really need the 3D per-se, but it would be nice to have a decent desktop to run Windows apps on when necessary... The catalyst always spits back at me that there is no compatible hardware found....

Not holding my breath, but crossing my fingers...
... Help?

Install the VMware tools. It will install a display driver to enable greater display bit depth. And no, there is no 3d acceleration in vmware at this time.

No 3d acceleration in vmware guest. Only choice is the vmware tools. One cannot install the real drivers for thier video card under a guest setup. Everything in vmware is consider a virtual interface.
