possible conflicts after instal libpng.so.3! HELP
 

I want to instal XINE but i need some libraries. I have Mandrake8.0 . When i want to install libpng.so.3 i receive a warfing message about some conflicts. Wat should i do?:( to continue with "force" or "quit".

if you already have libpng, then you should not need to reinstall libpng... (so you can quit)

if you have an older version, best thing you can do, is to remove the old one, and reinstall the new package.

you should not force any package installation until you are sure thet you really need to install a new one.

usually, the old package can (and should) be removed.

If you have newer library, leave it as it is. If you have older, upgrade it.
