After running emerge-webrsync i received the next message:
* An update to portage is available. It is _highly_ recommended
* that you update portage now, before any other packages are updated.
* Please do so and then update ALL of your configuration files.
*** Completed websync, please now perform a normal rsync if possible.
Update is current as of the of YYYYMMDD: 20050711
What does it mean? I've just updated the portage, haven't i?
You've just updated the portage tree. The message you got is telling you that there is an update to portage, the system (emerge and ebuild and other progrs), available. A simple 'emerge --oneshot portage' will take care of this.
