port lightstep?

Hey everybody in the linux community!
I have a question.
I am an avent linux, mac, and windows user.
For windows there is a program called lightstep that is a shell replacment, that I would LOVE to see ported as a gui for linux.

It is pretty much dead for windows, and understandably so, people dont have much choice for windows shells in the beggining, as linux users do, so there was no need to change for them :)

But I would LOVE to see lightstep ported to windows as a gui.
It has great customizability and a lot of potential.

You might want to check it out at www.lightstep.com
and a few theme pics at http://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=6

Anyways, I would like some feedback from the peeps in the community.

Why ? I understood litestep to be a replication of NextStep. I would think that all that functionality and more is available in the dozen window managers already available for linux. I'm for less desktop managers not more, from my position KDE and Gnome are already enough to learn and master.

I may be wrong, but I've yet to learn of a linux wm that has the ability to load completely different themes the way litestep does. Take fluxbox for example - you can change the dimensions and colour of the GUI, but you can't completely change the layout, or add or subtract utilities. Still though, I agree that there are enough WMs out there.
