port 80 problem

i'm not sure what has happened here at all.

my web server is working fine and then i get mldonkey and open a port for it in my router and i'm saying this because it's the only change i've done to my router in a long time.
anyways i do remember my web server working after i opened the port for mldonkey but now no one can reach it and i even tried setting apache to port 8000 and sure enough i had to change it to 127.0.0.1:8000 at localhost and it worked fine but no one from the outside could reach it.
so i'm wondering what could be wrong and if maybe something in linux is blocking apache?
my server is at 213.67.169.160 in case anyone cares about the error

I just get an operation timed out when trying to contact it.

However a ping also timed out, so I'm not sure what's up...

What distro? What router? IPtables runnin? Any firewall besides the router?

Cool

no
a scan against localhost shows all the default slack ports open including 80
and i've closed the e-donkey port now restoring the router settings to what they were when the server work but it still doesn't work from the outside and i know for sure that it worked a while after i got mldonkey and all i did was reboot to windows to resize a partition using pm8 and when i was back in slack the server didn't work.
i have had problems with my isp and dhcp settings after reboot and my ip being changed but i checked that and even if it wasn't changed i'm directing ppl to my direct ip# so it should work.
