popa3d email download problem.

Dear friends,

I am having problem with the POP email download on some of my email accounts.

I am using slackware 9.0, sendmail 8.12.9, and popa3d-0.6.1-i386-1

This is the error message ont he message log.
popa3d[5351]: Premature disconnect

On the client side, either using MS Outlook or Eudora, the client just hang at the downloading email, (with the msg 1 of 3, or 3 of 5, etc)

What can be wrong, or do I need to update my popa3d?

Smile Fetching mails with outlook from popa3d

Dear Manuel,

having had the same problem, i found this solution:

add a line to your /etc/hosts.allow file:
popa3d: 10.12.13.

or whatever the ip-range of your lan is.
as far as i know, you must restart your system fort the changes
to take effect.

hope it helps, yours
