POP3s IPOP (problems)

When trying to connect to my pop3s server with evolution email client or a mozilla thunderbird email client i getthe following error message "Error while fetching mail: Could not connect to 192.168.0.1: Connection refused". I have no idea why this message is occuring when i run nmap i show the port being open and i check my certificate and it seems to be out of date. Anyone have any idea on what could possibly be a problem and how i can correct it.
Thanks All

well that suggests that you may have an IP address wrongly configured. Or what about firewalling config that might not want to let you through???

Dunno what the IPOP thing is, but is this getting mail from the ISP's server or are you running your own one ???

You'll have to be a bit more specific about the problem/errors, to get anything other than wild guesses my friend.
