POP3 Ident query

Hey guys,

I'm getting an immense delay when trying to connect to my POP3 server when I'm behind a firewall (it's on a separate network). I know that it's due to an ident query timing out because I turned off Sendmail's Ident querying and that fixed the problem on the SMTP side of things. However, I have no clue how to turn off the ident query for POP3. I'm using ipop3d with xinetd, so any help you can give would be great! Thanks,

Jonathan

Block it at the firewall level ... if you are using iptables then something like:

iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 113 -j REJECT --reject-with tcp-reset
