Pluma editor dictionary -- is it Aspell en_us? Or does it use its own?

As my signature line says, I'm using KDE 5, but I prefer pluma or xed for plain text editing. I'm curious as to whether or not a word added by way of "Spelling suggestions>Add" on the right-click menu is stored in Pluma's own dictionary or passed on to aspell's user dictionary.

I know this is true for Kate and KWrite, and I think that if it isn't for pluma, GNOME Editor or xed, there should be some way of "making it so."

If Pluma is still using enchant, I think that creates its own user dictionary for added words. Do you have anything in ~/.aspell or ~/.enchant?

On my system, adding a word in gedit has no effect whatsoever, and I haven't found any clear explanation.
