Plug-ins sends user back to windows.
A supported user continues to boot back into Windows because the person can not enjoy the web as much on Fedora. Meanwhile, Mozzilla browser plug-ins are giving me a headache. The system is a Fedora 3 system with Mozzilla Firefox browser.
About the two plug-ins, one is for hearing voice on different web pages (for that REAL is being tried). The other plug-in is for having a Java Chat Box on a particular web site, Macromedia is the recommended plug in; however, the manual steps provided do not work. Has anyone over come these problems? Thanks in Advance. |
Macromedia is Flash. For a Java plugin you should go to Sun and get it from there.
Go to Help-->About Plugins and follow the links to find out how you get the plugins and where to get them from. |
Yes, I have done that as stated "the manual steps don't work". All the instructions were followed; however, the Macromedia plugin STILL does not work with Mozzilla. Meanwhile, the users still uses windows.
Please give me a little credit, YES, I READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, they just flat out did not work. Thanks for you reply, however, I am still down on this one. |
Well, hey, if you had stated that you had followed the instructions and placed the relevant links in the /home/usrname/.mozilla/plugins directory, I wouldn't have suggested it. Flash still != Java though :)
Where is it failing? Do you get any error messages on screen? What version of Mozilla? |
