linux terminal not allows to activate nvidia graphics card.
can we activate with vi editor........................

Welcome to LQ.

Any kernel supports any hardware , almost.
Nvidia drivers : Install them with your package manager.

Ethernet : Some wifi are not very well supported.
But I guess, you have an idea about which hardware,
you have ... Please inform about brand and type no.,
if you want information.
And if you are using Linux, please tell which ....
.. every time a question is asked !

Ditto---don't worry about the kernel---worry about which distribution. http://distrowatch.com

NVidia is no problem---they provide drivers at their website.

Basic ethernet is also no problem
