In a nut shell, I am looking for step by step pages on how to setup dialup connections, DSL connections, and SAMBA on RH 9.0.

linuxquestions.org, justlinux.com, tinyminds.org, linuxchix.org all have newbie tutorials with step-by-step approaches. There are other sites too, that you can find through google; there's Linux Step by Step, Linux Guruz, Experts Exchange, First Linux, etc ...

The standard how-to's are a bit dry, but they are invaluable in conjunction with the newbie tutorials. You can find the how-to's at www.ibiblio.org
