Please help. dvdrecord mkisofs

I want to back up about 3 gigs of data (mp3's programs documents etc) to a dvd+rw disc.
Ive created a new directory called ~/backup and put all the stuff in there.

After reading the MAN pages of dvdrecord i issued the command :

mkisofs -R -o cdbackup.raw /home/flint/backup/

The end output of that was: 98.87% done, estimate finish Tue Jan 13 12:52:37 2004
99.20% done, estimate finish Tue Jan 13 12:52:37 2004

Total directory bytes: 647168
Path table size(bytes): 1802
Max brk space used 1f07e4
1512032 extents written (2953 Mb)

Whether that is correct or not i dont know ?

Anyway I went on then to burn the directory to the dvd+rw disc using dvdrecord
by typing:

dvdrecord -v speed=4 dev=0,0,0 cdbackup.raw

and got the following output:

linux:/home/flint # dvdrecord -v speed=4 dev=0,0,0 cdbackup.raw
