Playing DVD's
 
Is it possible to play DVD movies in Suse Linux 9, I get a message saying - This version of Xine (used by Kaffeine) has only a reduced set of supported codes. How can I fix this please.

you need libdvdcss... look on rpmfind and xine from here:

Just to comment on the reason why libdvdcss isn't included... there is some question of the legal issues with the open source dvdcss libraries so many of the major distributions choose not to include them as to cover themselves in case of a lawsuit.

Some people (idiots.. in my opinion) believe the distribution of libdvdcss helps people replicate DVD's illegally... of course if I were going to replicate digital media, dvd or otherwise, I would see no reason to mess with the encryption since the DVD player will still be able to handle it on the replicated version, but that is just me I suppose.
